Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"We're no strangers to this restaurant/bar, and each visit is a delight. The atmosphere is simply perfect, their selection of Spanish dishes are wonderful , always served with a touch of artistry. Their wine selection never disappoints either, good quality and taste. And let's not forget their cocktails - a true testament to their mixology skills. Lounging here, music in the background, simply watching life pass by is incredibly soothing. The proprietors are unfailingly friendly and ready to assist, always ensuring we share hearty laughs. It's an absolute must-visit in the old town!"
"Visited here on 8th July 2023. We did the traditional tapas night and ordered some drinks and three tapas to share. The mixed salmon salad was fresh and tasty, the camembert with crackers and jams was also nice and warm. The stuffed mushrooms with prawns was nicely cooked and juicy. The service here could have two reviews for the male waiter who was the only one on the floor early in the night with a nearly packed outdoor area was under the pump: >From a customer point of view, his service manner was not that friendly, understandably, he was stressed. His knowledge of the menu seemed good, however, because he was under pressure, his patience was much lower from people who didn't speak proper Spanish when placing an order. >From a business owner point of view, this is the owners fault for only having one employee on early in the night. Customer service requires both knowledge, attention and courtesy for a full experience. Compliments to this one waiter for the amount of work he was doing and how fast he was moving. The façade of the premises also looked quite inviting even though most of the seating is on the street/walk ways, which form a great part of the night time atmosphere."
"Great food, portions are big! Lovely staff and service. Lovely outdoor environment to sit in with friends and family."
"Great location in the plaza just outside of upper old town. A lovely place for coffee, drinks, and snacks. We stop here often. Yes, true, sometimes the staff is delayed keeping up with many patrons, so if you aren’t prepared for a pleasant stop and time to be still, you might be frustrated. We never ate. Gabriel, the proprietor, speaks English. Super friendly. Desfrute! I am back again. Just for a cortado. Super pleasant to sit here and relax."
"Really loved this bar. It was on the bucket list. To sit in an authentic spanish bar, surrounded by locals and really feel the spanish atmosphere. The drinks were lovely. Spent a while here. It was unexpected. Didn't plan to be here. After visiting the old town, we felt the urge for a drink and this place just fell into our laps. Loved the the cocktails. I had a dirty banana and it was delicious"
"Really pleased we stumbled on this place for a drink and tapas. Service was prompt enough, great range of drinks. Tapas was very tasty..some of the best croquettes we have eaten in our many trips to Spain. Fair price for the location and food quality. Well worth a stop! Toilets available inside."
"We made a quick stop at this place after dinner to have a jug of Sangria, lovely balance of refreshing fruits and alcohol. Bar was rather lively compared to other places we stumbled upon and although location was quite hidden, it was worth the find. Waiter was very friendly and accommodating that despite not being able to take away another jug of Sangria but we were able to purchase ice, so we could continue drinking (beers we brought) in our hostel as there is a midnight curfew in the region."
"I stopped here for a coffee. Interesting was that the waiter offered cappuccino with cream. Good service and kind stuff."
